To prepare for the lead role of Tanya Cheex in the 1997 mainstream film Preaching to the Perverted, actress Guinevere Turner participated in actual domination sessions at New York’s Nutcracker Suite under the tutelage of famed dominatrix Mistress Diane.

The film takes a lighthearted and sympathetic look at the British fetish scene in the late 1990s. It covers a wide spectrum BDSM activities, and there are several spanking references and butt-whacking scenes.

Male subs are smacked with paddles, a young woman is whipped over a spanking horse, a matron is discovered with a schoolroom shrine in her basement, and there are many other verbal and visual spanking tidbits.

Interestingly, Guinevere co-wrote the screenplay for the HBO movie The Notorious Bettie Page and also wrote for and appeared in the Showtime series The L Word.

In the music video for their song Sonne, the German group Rammstein plays a cadre of hard-working dwarves who serve a gold-dust-snorting Snow White, played by Russian soap-opera star Yulia Stepanova.

The dwarves are quite devoted to their gigantic mistress — combing her raven hair and polishing her apples – but when they displease her, she bares their little bottoms and gives them the flat of her enormous palm. (That’s certainly one way to keep the workers in line.)
